Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery
– brand identity & packaging design
Established in 2009, Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery was created by four local lads who shared a passion for real ale and craft beers. After a successful first few years, Stuart approached us to rebrand the brewery and give them a visual language, bar and retail presence that matched their ambition.

Devil’s Bridge is central to both the logo and illustrations used on labelling and pump clips. The iconic landmark keeps the branding rooted in its location and acts as a starting point for the illustration style. Other local landmarks featured include St. Marys Church, The Orange Tree pub and the market cross, which we rebuilt to its former glory.
Keen to expand and find a new home for the brewery, the Royal Barn was born. Our role was to provide a steer on how the barn could look and advise on getting started. Some hanging lightbulbs and palettes here, a bar made of reclaimed wood there. Since then, the tap house has grown from strength to strength – even being named ‘Pub/Bar of the Year’ at the Cumbria Life Awards 2020.
