Brand development work for Hardknott brewery with the aim of taking that all important next step from startup to grown up brand.
Anyone who knows Dave Bailey at Hardknott will know that he loves being different from the crowd and hates conformity. So the challenge was to develop a beer brand that stuck two fingers up at the traditional aspects of brewing and reflected the bold tastes of a Hardknott beer.
The style has a nod to the earthy quality of their beers – a rich seam of creative brews. The shape of the logo device was inspired by an old roman coin found at Hardknott, which then formed the basis of the distinctive pump clips.
We do like a good beer and Dave’s are up there with the best.
